INFORMATION COLLECTED
Personal Details Form
As part of the booking process, a link to a Google-hosted Personal Details form is sent to new customers. The form requests the following information:

Relevant appliance information
This information is stored in a Google-hosted spreadsheet. Access to the spreadsheet is protected by a username and password, and no local copies are made to Tweed Appliances electronic devices.
The information is used to arrange and carry out your appliance repair and to communicate with you about the service.
Video and Photographs
Video or photographs may be taken during appliance testing and repair where they are useful for diagnosing faults, recording the work undertaken or providing information to the customer.
These images are initially stored on the camera and may then be transferred to Apple iCloud storage. Appropriate security measures are used to protect access to the Apple account and stored information.
No photographs or video will intentionally be taken of anything other than the appliance or the repair work.
If Tweed Appliances wishes to use an image on its website or social media, your express permission will be obtained by email before the image is published.
HOW YOUR DATA IS USED
Communication
Your name, email address, mobile phone number and address may be used to communicate with you about your repair, including arranging appointments, discussing the appliance fault and providing information relating to the work undertaken.
Legal basis
Tweed Appliances uses your personal information where it is necessary to provide the repair service you have requested, communicate with you about your repair, and fulfil any legal or accounting obligations.
Where we rely on your consent, for example to publish a photograph of your appliance or repair work, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
WHO WE SHARE YOUR DATA WITH
Your personal information is stored or processed using services provided by:

Google, for customer information submitted through the Personal Details form and stored in Google Sheets.

Apple, for photographs and video stored in iCloud.

Wix, which provides the hosting and website services for the Tweed Appliances website.
These companies process or store information on their respective cloud services. Their privacy policies can be accessed through their websites.
Tweed Appliances does not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

Cookies are small text files that may be stored on your computer or other device when you visit a website.
This website is built and hosted using Wix. Wix uses cookies and similar technologies, including cookies that are necessary for the effective operation and security of the website.

DATA RETENTION
Tweed Appliances does not keep personal data for longer than necessary.
Customer contact information and details of repair work undertaken will normally be retained for up to two years after the repair has been completed. This allows us to refer to previous repairs if required.
Some information, such as financial and accounting records, may need to be retained for longer where there is a legal or accounting requirement to do so.
Photographs and video of repair work will normally be deleted when they are no longer required for the purposes for which they were taken. You may request deletion of photographs or video at any time, subject to any legal requirement to retain them.
